
Supporting your child's learning
- Check your child's homework diary each day.
- Talk to your child about their school day and what s/he has learnt.
- Set aside an area at home that encourages learning (e.g. with books and no distractions).
- If the internet is available at home ensure that it is supervised.
- Encourage your child to read regularly, either independently or with another member of the family.
- If you are concerned, ask your childs school for additional guidance on how to support homework.
- Attend parents' evenings/consultations.
